A one-day symposium to consider why homelessness is still a major social issue 50 years on from the first showing of Cathy Come Home (1966). This symposium is the culmination of a highly ambitious, collaborative project, involving the renovation of empty properties in Newcastle by people who have experienced homelessness and the development of a series of artistic responses to these issues.
Includes a screening of Cathy Come Home.
