Evaluation of our Multiple Complex Needs training

This pilot training was delivered to workers across Newcastle and Gateshead with the aim of understanding how specific training on multiple and complex needs might impact on workers. The report recommends exploring the effectiveness of delivering training to whole services and exploring more fully the MCN skills base.
Prison Transition Report (Executive Summary)

This report looks to explore the transition between the community and prison for clients with multiple and complex needs using our client group as an example. Analysis of clients pre and post-prison accommodation identifies how transient and unstable their accommodation is. We found 71% of clients had different accommodation on release than they had prior to custody and 44% were released to No Fixed Abode.

The report explores the question ‘What makes a good multiple complex needs worker?’ drawing on insights from the Fulfilling Lives NG frontline staff team. The report presents detailed case studies and frontline staff views, as well as exploring the toolkit of the MCN worker.

Healthwatch Newcastle awarded Fulfilling Lives Newcastle and Gateshead (FLNG) a small grant to carry out work on their behalf, FLNG’s Experts by Experience used a peer research model and explored how people who are homeless or living in insecure housing experience local mental health services. The report makes recommendations for improvement across three key areas: treatment and support, workforce development and service thresholds and commissioning.

December 2018, commissioned by Moving on Tyne and Wear and carried out by Fulfilling Lives peer researchers Graeme Robertson, Michael Harvey and Steven Tyler
Peer research exploring the barriers to employment for people with drug and alcohol issues and people in recovery. The report makes recommendations around frontline and service knowledge of recovery, better signposting, comprehensive skills packages to prepare people for employment and continuity of care for those moving into employment.
