Critical Time Intervention Masterclass

Event Location:

MEA House, Newcastle upon Tyne

Date:

2018-09-06 09:30:00

Fulfilling Lives Newcastle and Gateshead would like to invite you to join us for a day-long training session on Critical Time Intervention (CTI) with the world’s leading trainer in CTI.

The training session will provide you with a detailed overview of the methods and effectiveness of CTI and how it can be applied to support people with multiple and complex needs in the UK.

Critical Time Intervention (CTI) is a time-limited evidence-based practice that mobilizes support for society’s most vulnerable individuals during periods of transition. It facilitates community integration and continuity of care by ensuring that a person has enduring ties to their community and support systems during these critical periods. CTI has been applied with veterans, people with mental illness, people who have been homeless or in prison, and many other groups. The model has been widely used on four continents (CACTI, 2016).

Sarah Conover, the Director of CACTI (Centre for the Advancement of CTI) and the world’s leading expert in all things CTI, will be joining us in Newcastle from America to deliver this one-day training session.

Sarah was a member of the original team that created CTI in the 1980s. She has since played a primary role in the model’s further development, including the CTI Fidelity Scale. In recent years, she has been instrumental in disseminating the CTI model globally.

We’re really excited to have this opportunity and share it with our colleagues in the North East and beyond.
